Relief

Copyright Jeannie

I sit alone day after day
the pain in my head won't go away.
Who really cares that my head may explode?
Confusion, confusion hard to work out.
Blackness, blackness nowhere to turn.
People see nothing they don't know how it feels!
My fault this happens it won't go away.
Have to do something the pain feels so huge!
Should it be pills to take it away?
No they do nothing when the black is so black.
The blade on my skin I can't feel the pain.
The blood is so red it shines through the black.
Relief, Relief for just a short time.
Then the guilt and the shame come to replace the relief.
The relief, the relief why is it so brief
