Enigma

Solitude

Why shield me from the pains of life?
For I am to die like the masses.
Experiencing suffering and strife,
Abandoned and discarded like shards of glass.
Release me from your womb.
Let demons guide me to the catacombs of hell.
Sanity evading me, ushering forth doom,
Blinded by blood, entranced by its spell.v I wish not for your protection,
It is not necessary for my quest
Shunning your affection,
I only long for eternal rest.
So, blessed are those who have tasted the sweet nectar of death,
Cursed am I, who still draws breath.
