One Black Rose

Copyright Re-C

Isolated in a field of red
The one black rose raised her head
Feeling lonesome as she said, “I wish, I wish, I wish, I were dead.”
With wishful thoughts in her head
She cut her stem and as she bled
She thought how wonderful it is to be dead
Now I may rest my weary head.
